Scientists are doing a research on what happens if blood is injected into the leaves. That is, scientists are trying to figure it out how it can be helpful.




They usually take a spinach leaf and give it an extraordinary bath, which means that the scientists removes all the cells in the leaf. The rest left is scaffold. This is called Decellularization process.




Decellularization (also spelled decellularisation in British English) is the process used in biomedical engineering to isolate the extracellular matrix (ECM) of a tissue from its inhabiting cells, leaving an ECM scaffold of the original tissue, which can be used in artificial organ and tissue regeneration.

Once in these leaves, if the human heart cells are injected, and if it really could oxygenate these cells then this will be a new beginning for the treatment of heart attacks.
